Robert M. Erhard is a trained Agronomist with degrees in International Agriculture (University of Bern), Teaching (Cambridge) and an MBA (Open University). Further specialisations were done in Sustainability. In 2003, Robert joined Nestlé and has taken on various roles including Corporate Head of Fresh Milk and Agricultural Services in the Greater China Region and Managing Director of the Dairy Farming Institute. In 2015 he returned to the Head Office as Global Head of Milk Sourcing with operations in over 27 countries, Innovation and Digital in Agriculture and leads the Nestlé Net 0 climate pledge, regenerative agriculture and livelihoods for dariy/livestock. He has initiated, led or supported several impactful large projects globally. His current and past external roles include being a working group member of the national FAO Committee, the International Dairy Federation, Governor at the Dairy Sustainability Framework, Chairman of the Dairy Working group and EXCO member of the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform.
