Leif Fixen is a North America Agriculture Strategy Manager for The Nature Conservancy. Leif leads TNC’s Farmer Advisor Strategy, working closely with agribusinesses, agronomists, and other farmer advisors, to support them working with farmers to identify and apply innovative technical and financial solutions to accelerate the adoption of regenerative practices at a meaningful scale. Prior to joining TNC, Leif was the Pacific Northwest Conservation Program Manager for American Farmland Trust where he focused on devising and implementing strategies for increasing the voluntary adoption of conservation practices by farmers and ranchers. Leif also worked for the Snohomish Conservation District as a Dairy Planner prior to joining AFT. Leif grew up on a small farm near Brookings SD and holds a BS in Agronomy and Forestry from South Dakota State University – “Go Jacks!”. Leif is an alumni of the WA AgForestry Leadership Program.
