Jennifer Wells

Jennifer Wells grew up on a farm in rural Arkansas where her family grew cotton, soybeans, wheat and watermelons. After high school, she attended the University of Missouri and earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Plant Science. Afterwards, she attended the University of Arkansas where she earned her Ph.D. in Agronomy, focusing on research in rice and vegetable crops. After graduation, she worked as an agronomist in several facets of the rice industry for over 15 years.

Jennifer began working for Land O’Lakes as a Technical Seed Agronomist for the Winfield United business unit in June of 2014, where she focused on research and product advancement of corn, soybeans and cotton for the Southern US. She transitioned to the Truterra team in June of 2019 where she serves as a Senior Agronomist for the business unit. In this role, she provides crop specific expertise to the software development team, creates retailer training materials for conservation agronomy and works with outside partners to create valuable field protocols. She also serves as the retail account manager for the southern and Coastal United States.
