Evan Hillan

Evan is a fourth-generation dairy farmer and manages Rusk Rose Holsteins Inc. in partnership with his parents. They milk 500 cows and crop 1,500 acres, where they grow alfalfa, corn, winter rye, winter wheat, and soybeans. They view soil health as the foundation to the success of their farm and have invested in cover crops, no-till practices, and variable rate technology.

Evan has served within the diary industry in national, state, and local groups. Most notably he has served on the National Dairy Board and Dairy Management Inc helping guide strategy of the National Dairy Checkoff program. He was a part of the 2019 trade delegation for the U.S. Dairy Export Council to Mexico helping to represent U.S. producers at the meeting with their Mexican Counterparts and serves on the Land O’ Lakes board of directors. Locally Evan serves as the chairman his local county’s beef and dairy promotions board and helps lead a farmer led watershed group that encompasses his farm.

Evan holds a Business Management degree from the University Wisconsin Eau Claire and a MBA from the University of Indiana Bloomington.
